Saying more would give away too much of the story.That said, I can't believe how fast I was able to read this book. She persuades, in the guise of Ethan, Lindsey to come to their home. There is a hurricane hurtling toward Florida, Ethan is away in New York, the kids are away so Tessa plans her revenge. She meets Ethan and thus the affair starts. She is going to school but really has nothing else going for her. Lindsey is a twenty-something woman with a young child that lives with her mother. Tessa is a high powered woman with a successful business, three children and a marriage that she is happy in. The reader is able to follow the story of one man's infidelity and supposed love for his mistress. We learn about the wife Tessa and the mistress Lindsey. What isn't classic is what happens in the story. Then the description made me open the book, well let me tell you, I started the book and had it 80% done in one sitting, I then finished it up the next night.This is the classic story of a man who betrays his wife and has an affair with a much younger woman. Read moreįirst off, the cover of this book intrigued me for sure. I just wish this one left me feeling the way REAL did. His craziness sucks me in and his broken side tugs at my heartstrings. I still love Remy and secretly I prefer him black. I was like "Oh no! Here we go again." I wanted something different, not a replay of book 1. The book fell short towards the middle though.
I also loved the ending and all the fighting scenes. There was drama with scorpion at the beginning and I loved that part. We got friendship and family stories, but I wanted more Remy. When Brooke got pregnant the whole mood of the book changed! She was put on bed rest at just a couple months into the pregnancy, which I felt was kind of far fetched and personally, the book was slow when Remy was traveling alone. I loved the suspense and drama with Brooke and Remy traveling together. This book was good don't get me wrong, but I felt the storyline was lacking. Remy has been on fire, but he is Black and everyone is worried about his safety. They miss one another like crazy and when Brooke is finally allowed to travel again it is time for the big fight with Scorpion. Remy then travels alone and Brooke is left with her friends and her ipod. Shortly after though, an unexpected surprise takes place and leads Brooke to bed rest. Remy and Brooke are back to traveling together and sharing tons of sexual moments. The beginning takes us back to where REAL left off.
